We couldn't be happier as The Mere Golf Resort & Spa is celebrating thirty years of award winning hospitality this month following the current owner’s family acquisition of the property in 1984. To celebrate its thirty year anniversary, The Mere is launching its ‘Pearl Anniversary Promise’ for couples who held their wedding reception at the resort in 1984. The first three couples will win a two night stay including an exclusive anniversary dinner with a menu of champagne and oysters, overnight stay and breakfast. The couples will also be able to enjoy full use of the spa facilities.
“It’s been an incredible 30 years since my family became involved in the resort. We have developed this into an award winning venue which has become one of the most popular destinations in the North West for weddings, parties, celebrations and events,” commented CEO of The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, Mark Boler.
“In this, our thirtieth year, we are inviting couples to remember their special day and relive their happy memories by celebrating their special anniversary with us. We want them to indulge their passions and enjoy the new experiences on offer here at The Mere!”
The Mere Golf Resort and Spa has been the venue of choice for weddings for 79 years with the first wedding reception taking place in the house in 1935. Since then, 4,740 couples have enjoyed their wedding at The Mere! Originally launche as Mere Golf and Country Club in 1984, the resort became renowned for its championship golf course and country club. In 2012, Mark Boler’s vision of the future came to fruition with a £15m redevelopment, including the introduction of a brand new 81 bedroom hotel. The independently owned resort renamed as The Mere Golf Resort & Spa and has subsequently become one of the leading venues in the North West. The resort has secured a total of five industry awards since its re-launch and attributes its success to its commitment to customer service, which is integral to the running of the business.
