Planners will be able to host their events in the UK's largest wind tunnel after a flight-testing warehouse next to TAG Farnborough Airport has been refurbished.
The Grade I-listed wind tunnels, for which The London Kitchen has won the catering contract, are part of Artliner's Wind Tunnel Project and will open for events business in 2014.
The tunnels are called Q121 and R52 and can host up to 350 guests. Q121 is the largest wind tunnel in the UK and was opened in 1935. It has been refitted with vintage military furniture, set alongside the existing 30-feet mahogany blade used to drive the wind.
The smaller R52 dates back to 1917 and was used to test the Spitfire.
Damian Clarkson, The London Kitchen 's managing director, said: "Farnborough's Wind Tunnel Project is an exciting new idea. The London Kitchen can't wait to get involved with this extraordinarily unique event space."
