Thorpe Park hosted its Fright Nights preview event on 4 October with over 150 VIP guests, event professionals and celebrities, including boy band Union J. The preview launched the new format for the Halloween events, which sees Thorpe Park team up with Lionsgate UK for the first time to present horror movie themed Fright Nights.
The preview event gave event professionals a taster of the new VIP corporate offering for Fright Nights which gives guest’s access to their own RIP Lounge complete with soft furnishings, pop-up bar and a selection of bowl food.
"The new addition of the RIP Lounge adds a touch of luxury to an evening of terror," said Head of Corporate Events at Thorpe Park, Jennifer Connery. "Guests receive a greater experience as they can enjoy the thrills of the Park and regain their composure from the terrifying onslaught of Fright Nights in the park’s exclusive lounge."
On arrival guests to the preview event were ushered to Bar 360 by actors dressed as the masked murderers from the film You’re Next for light bites and reception drinks. A team of specially trained scare actors popped up eerily as guests mingled and stopped to pose for pictures.
Later guests headed into the park to experience the new immersive live action mazes based on iconic horror films including My Bloody Valentine 3D, cult classic The Blair Witch Project, The Cabin in the Woods, and the recently released You’re Next. Guests were also able to enjoy Thorpe Park’s rides including The Swarm and Colossus.
The Fright Nights events will run 5-6; 11-13; 18-20 October; and 25 October – 3 November 2013.
